Job description:


We are looking for a talented Videographer to direct and produce regular video content that cuts through the noise and communicates Government policy to the public.


Part of our digital team, the Videographer will coordinate, shoot and edit video content for use across all departmental communications channels.


They will be able to juggle multiple projects and be prepared to work closely with Ministers and senior departmental officials.

An interest in current events or politics is an advantage.

This vacancy is on a full time, permanent basis.


Person specification:


Responsibilities:


  • Produce varied content for multiple channels
  • Understand the immediacy of a newsroom environment
  • Create content that is tailored to the social media channel it has been created for
  • Create regular and intriguing videos and photography for use across all departmental communications channels.
  • Manage the delivery and execution of creative and engaging video content from inception and storyboarding to production and delivery. This will be as part of both shortterm and longterm projects, often working to tight deadlines and in a highpressure environment.
  • Integrate graphical solutions for video production using Adobe After Effects and Premiere.
  • Manage all technical elements of video production, including filming, editing, audio/music, etc.
  • Accompany the Ministerial team as they carry out their work across the UK to shoot compelling video content.
  • Work closely with the wider communications directorate to ensure all video content helps the achieve the broader departmental objectives.
