Pure are pleased to be recruiting for a leading property and construction consultancy in Essex Due to growth within their HR team, they are now looking for an Advisor with a focus on Learning and Development.

This role will be reporting into the HR Managerbased within the Epping office 2 days a week, with travel into London one day per week and the rest of the week working from home.


The Role:


  • Learning & Development coordinating the ongoing learning and development for all colleagues within the partnership to fulfil requirements, assisting with strategies to support the business.
  • Assisting with investigating/arranging agreed training sessions to support development plans and the management of the Graduate Development Scheme and any other future development programmes
  • Evaluate and assess training outcomes to show success of learning programmes and make improvements where necessary
  • Procure training through selection and management of external providers
  • Investigate methods to support professional development of staff, utilising the apprentice levy and other funded programmes where possible
  • General administration of the learning and development function, maintaining ongoing accurate records/databases and compiling training reports as required, including CPD records in line with GDPR
  • Coordinating Personal Performance Development reviews ensuring annual appraisals are held in line with schedules, all paperwork is returned, key actions/development requests are recorded and tracked with relevant Partners
  • Identify any training needs from the Personal Performance Development reviews to populate a training plan each year for approval
  • Assisting with any H&S training requirements such as 1st Aider training/refresher training, Fire Marshall Training etc and coordinating annual workstation assessments for all staff
  • Connecting learning and development to other HR areas such as employee engagement, health & wellbeing, diversity & inclusion and performance management
  • Providing support to the HR Manager and assisting with employee relations:
  • Compiling reports including headcount, equality/diversity, starters/leavers, anniversary and any ad hoc reports as required
  • Ensuring HR databases are kept updated with employee contact details, qualifications and memberships. Assisting with obtaining such records along with any other relevant information required from new starters.
  • Assisting with all employee correspondence such as training agreements, letters, etc. and maintaining a record of such documentation where needed
  • Assisting with the ongoing development of the HR strategy, in particular to learning and development
  • Supporting the Payroll Process Manager to ensure the HR database is kept updated with all employee information, inclusive of holiday and sickness
  • Supporting the leaver process, including carrying out exit interviews and references
  • Assisting with ensuring all policies, practices, procedures and Employee Handbook are kept updated and employees are advised of any changes
  • Providing guidance/support to Partners, senior management and employees on employee relations, policies, etc
- seeking advice from the HR Manager and/or Employee Advisors where required

  • Supporting the business with employee engagement initiatives to provide a positive employee experience

Skills and Experience Required:


  • CIPD qualified in HR and/or learning and development
  • Experience of learning and development, particularly in relation to managing a learning management system, training need analysis, procuring training and feedback mechanisms
  • Experience of providing HR administrative support and advice would be an advantage
  • Experience with dealing with multiple stakeholders such as internal staff, partners, external providers and consultancies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly numerate and literate
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced level) and Outlook
  • Capable of working to targets and timescales
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Basic HR knowledge would be preferred with the desire to develop within the role
