Verus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a local accountancy practice in the recruitment of an experienced Audit Senior to join an expanding well-established accountancy firm, based in their Sheffield office.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified audit senior looking to progress to management. Looking for someone who is willing to support them with progression and face new challenges in an expanding role.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Senior audit work and supporting the audit team
  • Preparation of company accounts and tax returns
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor, and providing expert advice on auditrelated matters
  • Preparation of personal tax returns
  • Progressing to managing audit work and accountancy client
  • Coaching and developing junior team members
  • Keeping up to date with changes in audit standards and regulations
  • Experience of / willingness to get involved in Business Development initiatives.

Someone with the following skills and experience:

  • At least 3 year's experience of accounting and audit experience
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good IT skills and use of Office 36
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor junior team members
  • ACA/ACCA qualification
