Plasterer/multi-skilled tradesperson3-month contract
£15 an hour, Umbrella
Redditch
Purpose of the Role:
The Housing Services Tradesperson provides a responsive and preventative service to repair and maintain the Council's housing stock by diagnosing work required fixing and repairing the Council's properties, right first time and at a time that suits the customer.
Duties of Multi Skilled Tradesperson:
- attend to requests for repair works across all services of the Repairs and Maintenance service including void properties, tenant's properties and equipment and adaptation.
- I will work from any base including Crossgates or any Locality as directed by the Senior Tradesperson.
- I will report to the Senior Tradesperson who will be available for me to call on for assistance and expert advice and for my day to day line management.
- I will share my expertise in working with and training apprentices when required.
- I will ensure the materials on my vehicle are accounted for;
- I will take responsibility for the vehicle I use on a daily basis
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualification in a building related field i.e. plumbing, carpentry, plastering, fencing, bricklaying or electrical.
- Minimum of 2 years experience within a trade. i.e. plumbing, carpentry, plastering, fencing, bricklaying, electrical.
- To have experience of carrying out other trades jobs.
- Able to demonstrate previous experience in a trade. You will be expected to demonstrate your abilities in an onsite practical test.
