Financial Controller

£55,000 - £65,000 DOE

25 days holidays plus bank holidays, car allowance, quarterly bonus, private medical and dental, up to 8% matched pension

Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm

Birmingham

Are you a fully CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified finance professional? Have you worked in a manufacturing environment? If so, our client, a leading manufacturer of titanium-based metal products, is looking for a Financial (Plant) Controller for their site in Birmingham.

The role will involve working closely with the Manufacturing Department to understand financial performance of each team and to forecast company performance.


Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will have the following responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for daily and weekly reporting, forecasting, inventory management and month end reporting activities.
  • Developing and implementing effective plant controlling, forecasting, measurement & KPI techniques.
  • Having a full understanding of the company's schedules and ensuring that all divisional reporting requirements for the site are delivered on time.
  • Working with crossfunctional plant management and teams to deliver the required reports and to design projects that help deliver underlying tangible benefits for the plant.
  • Undertaking the review, preparation, and ownership of the MOR Schedules.
  • Assisting with implementing efficiencies & value improvements with plants teams & improved working practices.
  • Managing the total inventory and the associated FCA and EBIT impacts by providing appropriate measurement & management tools in liaison with the plant team.

Financial Controller
The Financial Controller will require the following essential skills/experience


Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:


  • Fully CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified finance professional.
  • Previous experience working within manufacturing.


  • MS Office

  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system.
