Merchandising Director | Global Fashion Business | Switzerland based

Consumer Additions are working with a Global Fashion Brand who are looking for an EMEA Merchandising Director to join their team based in Switzerland.

This role will be responsible for developing and delivering the companies Europe business; meeting theconsumer's needs across all channels of distribution, building the brand and increasing sales and profit.

Responsibilities include:

Developing the Merchandising strategy for Europe
Managing the Europe Product and Demand strategies, plans and activities, ensuring excellence in each and a strong combined Buying and Merchandising approach to build the brand and business.
Developing and delivering Go To Market plans that optimize sales and profit across all channels
Managing stock across the Europe Region, optimizing the regions ability to drive optimum sales and profit and ensuring effective clearance of excess stock meeting stock targets.
Act as the lead voice for the region Product teams to the HQ Group functions ensuing the needs of the region are prioritized, understood and delivered and act as the lead voice for the Group Product team ensuring effective execution of plans.
Ensure the requirements and skills of the different channels of distribution are met within the Merch team, including Wholesale, Retail, Franchise and Online.
Act as a senior lead for Europe, setting high standards of leadership of the business and the Merchandising team.
Proven experience in Buying and Merchandising, including Product or Buying, Marketing and Demand Management.
Proven experience as a senior Board level business leader and as part of a leadership team delivering a large P&L accountability.
Experience of Buying and Merchandising within Wholesale Operations and Retail Operations. Ideally also has experience within an online environment.
Experience of Supply Chain management and processes, primarily for Wholesale Operations but ideally also Retail Operations.
Proven experience of operating Buying and Merchandising across multiple European markets.
Able to build a brand in the fashion industry/ consumer brand industry.
Experience operating in a matrix business structure with a Group, region and market structure.
Fluent in English with ideally one or two of German, Dutch, French or Danish
Ability to relocate to Switzerland
