Req ID:920- We are looking for a Head of Expenses and Travel to join our Finance team in Peterborough.- This is a new role within Bauer and you will be responsible for the Travel and Expenses processes and processing across the Group.

Initially the role will support the businesses during our project release stage but will cover all businesses from The teams will process all travel and expense claims and provide monthly reporting into the BU management reporting as well as travel and expense reporting to Group Finance, Procurement and HR partners.


Our Team

  • The Head of Travel/Expenses will be part of the Group Finance team for transaction Processing and will also work closely with the Group Procurement, HR and Tax teams. One of your initial tasks will be to build the travel and expenses team from the existing finance teams. Any agreed roles which are not filled internally will then be recruited externally.
    Key Responsibilities
  • The main tasks will be delivering:

  • Travel
  • Supporting the implementation of interim travel provider for Poland and UK
  • Development of integration with SAP Concur for Poland and UK
  • Supporting implementation and rollout to all agree Business Units
  • Working with Group Procurement function on RFQ for permanent Group Travel provider
  • Implementation and monitoring of adherence to Group Travel policy
  • Monthly Travel reporting to all stakeholders

Expenses

  • Development of SAP Concur with project team for implementation in UK for release
  • Subsequent rollout to Poland and other R2 Business units
  • Input into development of Group Expenses policy with Legal compliance/HR
  • Working with tax and local CFOs to ensure that the expenses policy/processes are tax compliant
  • Processing of all employee expenses claims in SAP Concur and S
  • Coordination with Group Treasury on issuing and set up of required Procurement cards

Management responsibilities

  • Staff development of all employees in the Travel/Expenses team (UK, Poland and Germany)
  • Participation in all management meetings for the Group's transaction hubs as well as relevant Group Finance meetings
  • Communications with all Bauer stakeholders, e.g. KPI reporting to BU CFOs and Group Finance, process updates to key users

What we're looking for:


  • Team management experience
  • Previous demonstrable working knowledge of expenses and possible travel systems
  • The ability to manage a busy workload in a timepressured environment is also key to the role,
  • Selfmotivation and the ability to multitask to manage tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. AAT) possible not essential
