Construction Supervisor

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of dig and lay teams across varying contracts as well as individual clients primarily within the electrical industry.

The key aspect of the role is to ensure the teams complete the work to the necessary standards of quality and safety, within the required timescales, and within budget.

Works are predominately on the highway and knowledge of this would be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

To oversee all elements of excavation and cable lay activity, planning what is required and providing the necessary guidance and updating clients with regards to progress.

To ensure the most effective use of resources - labour, plant and materials.

To undertake accurate measurement and recording of completed work on a timely basis.

To undertake regular audits to ensure safety, quality and environmental requirements are being met

Organise staff to ensure jobs satisfy customer requirements, taking into account the Company's ability to complete the work in the required timescales.

Responsible for ensuring all staff use the correct materials and tools to ensure the work is completed to the necessary standard.

Be able to communicate in person and on the telephone with colleagues, customers and other visitors in a clear, friendly and positive manner

Be organised and effective in the management of your time, and your teams' time

Be able to undertake such staff training and development, which may from time to time be required

Have a flexible approach to your working hours

Be able to work as part of a team representing the interests of the business in a professional and friendly manner at all times

To maintain a general level of tidiness in work areas, and ensure punctual time keeping in accordance with contracted hours

A good understanding of Excel and Outlook, as well as general computer knowledge would be advantageous

To work in accordance with Health and Safety, and Hygiene regulations, and to report all accidents

To carry out any other such duties commensurate with the nature of the post and which may be required from time to time

You should;
Hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
Be CSCS registered
Have a NRSWA Supervisor Qualification

Salary:
£35,000 (Overtime paid at time and a half on Saturdays & double time on Sundays)

Schedule:

10 hour shift (30 minute unpaid break)
