Contract Type:
Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift pattern:
Daytime hrs a week)

DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Body Shop Supervisor / FLM to play a vital role coordinating our daily logistics requirements.

To succeed in this role, you should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of body Shop supervison


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
An opportunity has arisen for a Body Shop supervisor / Body shop First Line Manager.

You will be responsible for leading the work activities of a BMW team of colleagues ; providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training, development and team management.

Ensure legal compliance at all times. This role is based in Doncaster DN8 4HT, DHL Inside Track ,BMW Department


WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Support and manage direct reports to help drive an engagement culture at the site
  • Implement established local recognition procedures to reinforce behaviors associated with our culture (eg. Respect & Results, Continuous Improvement, Employee Engagement)
  • Demonstrates a good teamwork ethic through leading by example and supports operational objectives by active cooperation and the participation in improvement projects, proactive champion of "Right First Time",
  • You will ensure timely communication for all vehicles with all relevant parties
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring the Bodyshop team are adhering to all company health and safety procedures
  • Operate the bodyshop management system and ensure workload is managed to achieve maximum productivity and efficiencies.
  • Monitor and resolving all queries with customers, insurance companies and vehicle assessors
  • Manage the 15 day turnaround of vehicles as per customer requirements
  • Manage 50 stuff and their work loads

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • It is important that you have a strong work ethic,, be selfmotivated and have excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills are required, including a good working knowledge of MS Office and ability to use bespoke database
  • The ability to prioritise workload whilst working to tight timescales in accordance with company policies is important
  • Understanding and experience of a body shop desirable
  • You will hold a Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous management experience
