Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) in Haverhill?

We are working with a range of excellent SEN and mainstream schools the Haverhill area and we are currently seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a long-term supply basis.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with teachers and other professionals to support the individual needs of SEN students.
Provide oneonone assistance to students with special educational needs, ensuring their educational and social development.
Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the individual needs of each student.
Help students with their personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support if required.
Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Monitor and record the progress of students, and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
Collaborate with the wider school community to ensure the holistic development of each student.

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs is highly desirable.
A patient and compassionate nature, with the ability to build rapport with students.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the varying needs of students.
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
