We are now looking for a temporary Quality Control Inspector based in Wallasey to conduct tests, analyse measurements, and oversee production processes.

The role will initially be for - 6 months but may lead to a permanent position.


Responsibilities

  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet the quality standard.
  • Read plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
  • Resolve qualityrelated issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage the Drawing database

Skills

  • Good planning and organisation skills required to monitor and develop safety systems.
  • Ability to act decisively and solve problems.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team, colleagues, clients and suppliers.
  • Able to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines.
  • Work in a logical, systematic manner.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Willing to learn and undertake training in order to develop full potential.
  • Willing to challenge people and contribute improvements.

Qualifications and Experience Levels

  • Ideally educated to BTEC or equivalent NVQ Level qualification in a relevant manufacturing or quality assurance discipline
  • Demonstrable experience and a proven track record in delivering effective and proactive resolution to manufacturing and quality assurance issues.
  • Experienced in manufacturing with an ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
  • Proven product and industry knowledge.
  • Experience of working and influencing at an operational level.
