Applications are invited for the Trust post of Specialty Registrar for Community Paediatrics at Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH).

Duties include

  • Assessment and management of new patients in an outpatient setting
  • Ongoing followup and management of patients in an outpatient setting
  • Provide child protection on call
  • Attend Multidisciplinary meetings
  • Complete school and nursery observations and liaise with education
  • Medical student supervision and teaching.
  • Contribution to development of guidelines.
  • Contribution to/involvement in directorate governance agenda.

If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a standard/enhanced DBS.

This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 month.


As this vacancy is within the division of Women's and Children's, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service.

The cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust.
