Maintenance administrator (12-month fixed-term contract)

Core hours: 37.5 (over five out of any seven days, according to a predetermined rota; you must be flexible to work over some weekends/bank holidays, in rotation with others; the role is based at the Wethercentre (Watford), with the option to work some days from home)


The role:
The maintenance team provides a critical service to Wetherspoon, ensuring the smooth operation of pub maintenance processes. Part of the property maintenance team, you will provide a dedicated support function for pubs, area managers and contractors.


As a maintenance administrator, you will be responsible for:

  • taking ownership of enquiries and questions, handling complaints, troubleshooting problems and providing information
- taking part in meetings with contractors and other teams across Wetherspoon
- participating in training, development and support activities, as well as opportunities to visit pubs
- managing the planned maintenance schedule to ensure compliance


Roles and responsibilities:

- communicating with contractors, pubs and the operations team
- capturing requests for maintenance services into the company maintenance system, including scheduled preventative maintenance
- providing telephone support to contractors, pubs and area managers
- managing third parties to ensure a timely resolution of maintenance issues; investigating and resolving contractors' feedback
- analysing information and producing reports, with opportunities to share ideas with the wider business
- reviewing the performance of WISDOM contractors; arranging/chairing meetings or conference calls, as needed


Key skills and experience:

- thorough understanding of the day-to-day pub operation (maintenance experience not essential, as full training will be provided)
- ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment, on multiple tasks, with a commitment to seeing each task through to completion
- customer-orientated, with an organised and logical approach to work, showing attention to detail, time management and initiative
- analysis and problem-solving skills
- communications skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels across the business and with contractors


Salary:
£25,000 per annum
