Our client supports vulnerable individuals and households who may be at risk of harm or exploitation and need a home.

Vulnerabilities can include substance misuse, offending behaviour, and mental health.

They provide quality housing, deliver tailored supportplans, training, education, and employment opportunities to help people have stable lives and realise their full potential.

The role - Support Worker Housing

Managing an allocated caseload of service users, ensuring support plans are in place dedicated to individual needs
Completing risk assessments for new referrals into the service to assess suitability
Working with service users to identify and overcome any obstacles or barriers that may prevent tenancy sustainment, through strength based, personalised support plans
Working closely with external organisations to support service users and promote access to the community
Promoting and developing independent living skills needed for long term tenancy sustainment
Keeping accurate records and documentation around individual interactions and progress of service users
Dealing with repairs and ensuring they are up to date
Ensuring rent payments are updated weekly and chasing arrears
Completing health and safety checks and reporting repairs
Experience in working within a similar setting with either adults or young people with complex needs
Confidence in risk assessing and support planning whilst managing a caseload
The ability to maintain strong relationships with external organisations and professionals to ensure a holistic support package is offered
An understanding of the strength based approach and how this can be used to promote positive outcomes and tenancy sustainability

Due to the nature of the role, an Enhanced DBS will also be required for the role of Support Worker - Housing
