Description

A Residential Care Worker is required at a lovely Special Educational Needs School based in Radlett, Hertfordshire to start work immediately
You will be supporting children and young adults with autism and other special needs. This is a permanent role and the shifts are between 14:00pm to 22:30pm.

Background in Care is preferential but you must be willing to support SEN pupils and be willing to be trained up on how to support students with complex needs.

The role:


  • Support students with Autism on a 1:1 basis as a Residential Support Worker
  • Contribute to creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
  • Ensure safety for pupils in and out of class as a Residential Support Worker
  • Willing to complete training on how best to support students with SEN
  • Communicate closely with colleagues to ensure progress of students is prioritised

Requirements:

Available Immediately for long-term work:

  • Passion for working with children and/or young adults
  • Willingness to learn what it takes to support SEN children
  • Have an enhanced Child & Adult DBS or be willing to have one processed
  • Live local to Radlett
