Description

Join our team as an IT Service Desk Apprentice and embark on a Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship, a comprehensive work-based qualification that combines practical training and academic study.

As an IT Service Desk Apprentice, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for internal customers seeking technical assistance via phone and other available methods.
  • Conducting remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and relevant questions.
  • Documenting troubleshooting steps and resolution notes in detail using ServiceNow.
  • Escalating unresolved incidents to the Tier 2 support team, providing comprehensive notes on troubleshooting steps taken.
  • Determining the best solution based on userprovided issue details and guiding users through the problemsolving process.
  • Providing onsite deskside support as required.
  • Providing timely followups and updates to end users regarding the status of ongoing tickets and support efforts.
  • Installing and maintaining computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Imaging and configuring computer equipment for internal customers.
  • Creating and reviewing knowledge base articles to support the IT Service Desk team and end users.
  • Assisting with project work as needed.
  • Fulfilling other assigned duties.

  • Understanding of Microsoft SCCM.
