Environmental Health Officers - L/Derry - Derry City & Strabane District Council

  • 2 full time roles on offer

Key duties:


  • Inspect, Monitor, audit and carry out risk assessments
  • Deal with service requests
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, audit and review of effective departmental and Council policies and procedures
  • Prepare and serve statutory notices as required and where necessary prepare prosecution cases in accordance with Police and Criminal Evidence (NI) Order 1991 (PACE) Guidelines and act as an expert witness for the Council and other statutory bodies if required.

Criteria:


  • A relevant third level qualification in Environmental Health or equivalent
  • A minimum of one years' experience (including placement year) working within the field of Environmental Health
  • It is essential that applicants possess a full current driving licence and have access to a form of transport to carry out the duties of the post
  • Knowledge of the legislation governing the work of an Environ mental Health Officer
