Coffi Co is an established, family run business with 6 shops across South Wales. We are quirky bunch of Coffi heads crafting and developing our Coffi experience to bring the Coffi head way of life to the people of South Wales Food & Coffi, creative environments and great views

  • Main function of post:_ To maintain high standards of service and production within the restaurant/kitchen and other food areas with special responsibility for food preparation.
  • Hours worked:_ minimum of 15 hours per week to include weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Main duties of post:

  • To help and support the Sous Chef to deliver the menu meals to the required standard.
  • Help with food preparation, washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas, unloading and putting away deliveries, emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors, ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly, deep cleaning fridges and store rooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards.
  • To assist with all food production within the kitchen, to include special events, also assisting with menu development and planning; including creating new dishes and offering ideas for seasonal menus to cater for individual functions or daily menus.
  • To assist in the ordering, storage, control and management of all stock, according to regulations and administrative procedures.
  • To comply with all current Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations and to ensure the health, safety and enjoyment of visitors whilst using our food service facilities.
  • To assist with all aspects of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and other food service areas; ensuring that all checklists are completed and high levels of hygiene standards are maintained.
  • To ensure that visitor care is to the highest possible standard and that customer service standards are adhered to within the kitchen team
  • As part of your job you will also be required to help out at the pront of the store and work with our Front of House team to make sure or customers receive the best service.


In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the post holder is required to perform any other reasonable duties that may be assigned by the supervisor shown above, from time to time.

Person Specification

  • Qualifications

Essential:

  • Basic understanding of food hygiene to be developed with training
  • Basic computer skills for purposes of ordering/stocktake, to be developed where appropriate

Desirable:

  • Level 2 / Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (to be provided by the company)
  • Experience

Essential:

  • Cooking experience, not necessarily within a catering operation. Passion and enthusiasm for cooking with a keen eye for detail are key

Desirable:

  • Demonstrable experience of working within a catering operation
