**The head of Information Governance & Data Protection plays a critical role in overseeing all aspects of information governance compliance at Smart DCC. As an experienced information governance professional, you will provide thought leadership to our business, ensuring we remain compliant and effective in our use and management of information related to our activities as the Great Britain Smart Metering Licensee.

What will you be doing?

  • Setting Information Management strategy and requirements
  • Defining and maintaining Information Classification Policy and Standards
  • Maintaining compliance to GDPR and other applicable data protection legislation
  • Development and ownership of the Information Governance framework for Smart DCC
  • Data Protection and Information breach incident management including liaison with the Capita Data Protection team and other stakeholders
  • Working with senior stakeholders such as the Legal team to strategically influence information governance across the organisation

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced with Information Management and Frameworks
  • Document development (Policies, Standards, Procedures, Guidelines)
  • Management of all Subject Access Requests
  • Continuous improvement identify and suggest more efficient ways of using the tools and information available to achieve improved outcomes.
  • Personal networking skills being able to quickly gain the confidence of other people and sustain trust
