Are you experienced negotiator with Debt Recovery or Collections experience? Do you have excellent communication skills?

This is not a typical desk-based collections role, we are offering the opportunity to own the whole end to end collections process.

We're searching for confident, driven, dynamic and experienced collectors to join our Collections teams based in our freshly renovated offices in Manchester, on the edge of Salford Quays.

Main Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

Provide an end to end service on customer debt
Contacting customers to discuss and collect outstanding balances and working with customers to understand their situation to help resolve any outstanding payment issues
Visiting client sites to discuss collections of outstanding balances where necessary
Taking card payments to settle arrears
Working with the customers to identify the reason for any outstanding balances and adapt your collection technique and negotiation skills to agree mutual repayment terms
Keep all customers records and account information up to date and within the company guidelines
Build and maintain relationships with customers, securing payments on time and rehabilitating accounts
Proactively review customer accounts to identify any future problems before they arise and work with internal departments to resolve any issues
Operate compliantly within clearly defined guidelines

Knowledge & Skills:

Previous experience in a debt recovery or senior collections role is essential
Experience within the energy/ utilities sectors would be beneficial
Experience in collection call handling
Strong negotiation skills
Target driven and selfmotivated to succeed
Patience, empathy and commitment to providing the best customer care and quality service
Excellent communication skills
Strong telephone manner
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential
CICM Qualification desirable
Full clean UK driving licence
