Description
Reed Education are seeking a
Cleaning Manager to provide support at a
Secondary School in the Salford area.

This new Cleaning Manager role is a
Full-time position covering
5 days per week,
(hours of work will be between 6am - 6pm on a rota basis).

This role is
starting as soon as possible and is on a
permanent basis.

The school is a large secondary academy that is part of a larger multi academy trust.

They are currently going through a period of change so are looking for someone who can adapt to the changing environment around them whilst ensuring that the standardsare maintained.

We are looking for people with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Able to contribute to the smooth running of a school setting (Key holder, maintenance, Fire alarm checks, deliveries, cleaning).
  • Basic joinery, plumbing / electrical experience

Completion (Or working towards) an IOSH qualification and good working knowledge of reviewing RAMS

Knowledge of COSHH Regulations:

Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team (Experience of line managing a team of cleaners):


  • Experience of budget management and stock control of supplies
  • Well organised and able to prioritise their workload
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Recent experience of working in a school environment or similar setting.
  • Hardworking and flexible, and able to use their initiative
  • Experience with Health & Safety and general maintenance of the property.
  • Have the ability to develop good relationships with children and adults
  • Commitment to Safeguarding
