The Council is looking to appoint a Project Officer (Allotments) to help us deliver a good quality, customer focussed service to our allotment tenants, Associations, and local residents.


Based within Heritage and Open Spaces, the successful postholders will be involved in all aspects of the service from being the first point of contact for site enquiries and complaints, to liaising with individual tenants and Associations, to undertaking inspections and enforcement action to ensure plots are being cared for, and to arranging repairs and maintenance work.


You will have excellent communications skills, experience of project management within the community and voluntary sector,alongside the ability to engage and collaborate with local communities, community organisations and other stakeholders.

This will include taking a lead role in supporting and developing allotment sites across Hartlepool, to ensure they reflect and respond to local needs.
