Can you help keep our constabulary running effectively and deliver high quality support services that enable our frontline officers to protect the public?


Our Fleet Management Team are looking to recruit a Administration Assistant on a 37 hours, full time, permanent basis, based at Police Headquarters.


You could get involved in establishing fleet policy, managing vehicle contracts and replacements, overseeing insurance and repairs, managing fuel accounts, organising hire vehicles, managing maintenance contracts, or disposing of vehicles.


As a Fleet Administration Assistant, you will work as part of the Fleet Management team to support a wide range of administration functions, including recording and processing claims in respect of Police vehicle collisions, liaising with drivers, insurers and solicitors to resolve claims.

You will run reports on MOTs and services, liaising with vehicle maintenance contractor, supervisors and designated contacts to ensure these are completed by due dates.

You will take Receipt of penalty charge notices and notices of intended prosecutions issued in respect of vehicles operated on the fleet, recording and directing these to relevant supervisors and designated contacts, as well as carry out such duties as may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the post

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
