Plan International UK is a global children's charity. We strive to advance children's rights and equality for girls all over the world.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we're tackling the root causes of gender inequality and child poverty, and we are now active in more than 70 countries worldwide.

As part of our International Day of the Girl celebrations each year (11 October), girls across the UK, and internationally, take part in Plan International's Girls Takeover programme.

Girls and young women step into leaderships roles, whether in business, politics or the media, for a day to champion gender equality, better representation and the potential of girls.

Girls Takeover enables girls to be front and centre, taking over boardrooms, seats of power and channels of influence.

It is a celebration of the power and potential of girls by breaking down the barriers and stereotypes that can hold them and their futures back.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our high performing team to help deliver the 2023 Girls Takeover programme.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building powerful and exciting relationships with both partners and young people and is passionate about raising the profile and awareness of Plan International UK among our key target audiences.

The Girls Takeover Project Coordinator will work alongside the Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of all the Takeovers in 2023 in the UK, including collaborating closely with corporate partners and supporting all related youth engagement and communication activities.

Ensuring that all activities undertaken on behalf of Plan International UK, externally or internally, are in line with the overall values of the organisation and Feminist Leadership Principles.

This role sits within the UK Programmes Team and has regular engagement with teams across the organisation including Corporate Partnerships; Brand and Digital; External Communications and others.

Now in its third year, the Girls Takeover programme has built momentum to grow even bigger for the benefit of the young people and partners involved.

The Girls Takeover Project Coordinator will play an integral role in developing new ideas to further develop the programme.
