Atlas Copco Rental UK - Steam Project Coordinator
As a Steam Project Engineer, you will aid the execution of sound technical steam solutions across multiple industry sectors - with focus on:

  • Identifying customer requirements & tailoring bespoke solutions to fit that criteria.
  • Support the field personnel with the execution of temporary steam solutions.
  • Control of asset, accessory & ancillary fleet.

Job description

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out site surveys to ascertain technical requirements of any potential rental solution.
  • Contribute to conceptual & FEED phases of the project life cycle
  • Perform "non statutory" pre/post project inspections on fleet.
  • Identify & prepare inventory & oversee loadout
  • The efficient management of PSSR2000 inspections, working closely with our chosen competent body.
  • Control of pressure certification for our ancillary fleet
  • Maintain regular customer contact to establish requirements and ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
  • Maintain the spares management system.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during the tendering phase.
  • To work alongside and collaborate with other Atlas Copco business colleagues to effectively promote Atlas Copco products and services.
  • Perform pre/post project inspections on fleet.
  • Achieve your specific job mission as set out in a separate document

Experience requirements

  • Previous project engineering experience, preferably relative to steam boilers would be an advantage.
  • Commissioning experience, preferably relative to steam boilers.
  • Strong HSE track record.
  • Experience with pipework, hosework & associated ancillaries. Working knowledge of EN13480, EN10921 & ASME 31.3 standards would be advantageous.
  • The ability to read P & ID as well as Electrical schematics.
  • Communication: the ability to express ideas, send, receive and exchange information clearly.
  • Understand and demonstrate an awareness of the link between their role and the business goals.
  • Able to positively persuade, convince and impress others in order to achieve results.
  • Able to maintain organisation, ethical and social values in all business activities.

Knowledge
Good understanding of steam boilers.
Good report writing skills.
Good problem solving
Knowledge of PSSR2000 & PED statutes would be desirable
Good IT skills and competences. Experienced user of the Office 365 suite. AutoCAD experience would be beneficial
AutoCAD proficient would be desirable


Educational requirements
Possess a recognised qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
