Description

We are a 46 bedded Nursing & Residential Care Home based in Barrow-in-Furness. As part of the ongoing development of our staff team we have created a new position of Staff Trainer.

This position will involve working an average of 35 hours per week & will be based with our Care Home.

The Main duties of this role are:

Provide in house staff training (Induction, Care Certificate, annual mandatory training & ongoing staff development)
Keeping track of each individuals' progress and using imaginative ways to support and encourage the team and to keep them engaged and on track.
Assist with the induction and training for new resident admissions.
Assess and evaluate staff with in the workplace setting in line with the Care Certificate and company competencies.
Understand the needs of the business to ensure legal compliance training is organised and delivered cost effectively.
Work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure thorough implementation and evaluation of the training programs.
Manage and maintain staff training information on a training database
Carrying out of spot checks, performance checks of carers within the workplace
Assist with & participate in the clinical supervision process
Experience of designing, developing and delivering training programs.
Certification in Moving and handling, train the trainer and level 3 award in training _OR_
A teaching qualification: PTTLS, AET Level 3 or higher teaching qualification
Have a good understanding of the Care Certificate and CQC standards
Minimum 1 year experience in the Health or Social Care sector, along with a proven track record in facilitating and delivery of training
Critical to the post is for you to be up to date with the latest legislation and legal requirements affecting the Company and the work we carry out.
Must be ICT literate with good presentation skills.
