ASD Teaching Assistant - Lambeth - ASAP Start - £75 to £100 a day - ASD School

If you answered yes to the above, then this ASD Teaching Assistant role is for you

ASD Teaching Assistant

For this ASD Teaching Assistant role you will be based in a class of 8 students who are on the Autistic Spectrum.

You will be required to support them during their lessons which will include Maths and English, during break times and with sensory based activities.

Due to the students needs, some will be non-verbal, so a knowledge of PECs and/or Makaton is a must.

As well as supporting them during their lessons and activities throughout the day, you will also be required to manage their behaviour and assist them to thetoilet when needed.

Therefore, the ideal ASD Teaching Assistant for this role must have had previous experience in a similar setting, have a kind and care way with the students and be able to manage challenging behaviour.


ASD School

Found in Lambeth, this ASD School caters for young girls and boys aged between 9-19 years who have been diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

They currently have 140 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in February2019, they were reviewed as 'Outstanding' in all areas.
