Person Specification

  • A good honours degree, a PGCE or equivalent and QTS
  • Achieved the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinator or the willingness to undertake this qualification
  • Experience of teaching KS2, KS3, KS4 or KS
  • Experience of working as a SENCO or working within an SEN department e.g. Assistant SENCO
  • Experience of setting targets and monitoring, evaluating and recording progress
  • Experience of coaching/advising colleagues
  • Good skills in ICT, and in verbal and written communication
  • Proven ability to develop vision, to plan and to innovate
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Commitment to Safeguarding
