Maintenance Engineer - Lincoln
40 hours per week: Weekday Nights Shift; Monday to Friday 8.00pm - 4.00am

(Whilst training, upto six months, hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm)

Our company manufactures 50,000 products each year and exports to 80+ countries. We have great products, great people and great customers. To enable us to continue building our business we are looking to recruit a self-motivated and experienced MaintenanceEngineer.


Key Accountabilities

  • Lead by example in relation to all health and safety policies set out by the organisation and challenge nonadherence.
  • Support the health and safety manager in assessing risks of machinery usage and contractor management.
  • Monitor and report on production operatives conducting their routine safety checks.
  • Create and conduct a routine of planned preventative maintenance on machinery, infrastructure and tooling. Conduct routine inspection and test work.
  • Record, monitor and report the progress of preventative maintenance plan.
  • Enhance and upgrade the working environment as appropriate.
  • Schedule and aid 3rd party contractors in conducting planned maintenance and where appropriate in the repair of machinery, infrastructure and tooling.
  • Analyse failures and conduct repairs of machinery, infrastructure and tooling to the required standard and in a timely manner.
  • Investigate problems and use troubling shooting skills to identify root causes and take effective action to resolve them.
  • Specify and source components/parts and effectively liaise with suppliers and purchasers to ensure correct parts are received in a timely manner.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Prior experience of working in a maintenance capacity in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical engineering.
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail with a good level of spoken and written English and numeracy.
  • Able to demonstrate the tenacity to maintain drive and motivation in the face of challenges with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to establish and maintain effective and credible working relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • Excellent skills in organisation, time management and able to work proactively on own initiative to identify and prioritise workload, whilst understanding when to consult or seek advice.
