Working Part Time: 36 hours per week


We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide comprehensive reception service to the Countess of Chester Hospital, as directed by the Team Leader.


  • Uphold excellent standards in customer service, dealing with patient queries associated with the service.
  • To be responsible for booking patients into preassessment clinics and admitting patients to JDSC Theatres whilst ensuring that all demographic information held on the hospital computer system and in the patients' casenotes are correct.
  • To input all attendances, outcomes and procedures onto the Meditech computer system.
  • Respond to all enquiries telephone/visitors in a positive, tactful and helpful manner giving advice where necessary.
  • To ensure administrative duties are carried out on a daily basis.
  • Respond to all enquiries either on telephone or facetoface in a positive, tactful and helpful manner giving advice where necessary.
  • To ensure that notes are prepared for readily available for all planned attendances


The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.


The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services.

The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.
