Technical Writer
- Contract 36 months_
- Hybrid approximately 2 days per week in London office (/Chelmsford factory)_
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Technical Writer to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical user manuals and documentation that helps our users understand and effectively use our products.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all documentation is accurate, complete, and user-friendly.
The role is based in our London office and may also require occasional travel toour manufacturing facility in Chelmsford (travel expenses paid). Remote working is supported.
Responsibilities
Write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for software products, including user manuals, installation guides, and online help systems
Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure that documentation accurately reflects the product's features and functionality
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for technical writing and documentation
Ensure that all documentation is properly formatted, easily navigable, and visually appealing
Review customer feedback, and use that information to improve the documentation
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Proven experience as a Technical Writer, with a portfolio of published work
Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on technical accuracy and clarity
Experience working with software development teams and software products
Familiarity with industry standard tools such as Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office
Excellent organisational, time management, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
