Description

We require an individual to join our Learning Disabilities Services working with adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs in Tayside.

Applications are accepted from individuals with a current driving licence permitting driving a minibus/people carrier, for community activities as a car driver/minibus driver or as support in transportation.

The successful applicant will work within established and valued Occupational Therapy Services for people with a Learning Disability. This will be based within the Tayside Area Occupational Therapy Services, Craigmill Skill Centre, Strathmartine Dundee.

The post holder will be expected to be involved supporting people with a wide range of Learning Disabilities with complex needs/challenging behaviours.

The post holder will be provided with a package that will include Occupational Therapy induction, Healthcare Support Worker Induction package and supervision from an experienced Occupational Therapy staff member, with further training and development.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
Hours of work are: 32hrs
