Montessori Pre-School Room Leader

Salary:
£30,000


Hours: 38 per week

About the Nursery
Group of children's nurseries that provides exceptional childcare in a nurturing bilingual environment. They are passionate about their mission and deeply care about our local community, parents, and staff. They welcome children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years old (until Reception).


Due to incredible growth within the group, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Pre-School Montessori Room Leader to join their team.


Duties include:


  • Assisting with settling in new children
  • Responsibility for recording relevant information about your assigned key children's progress.
  • Planning for your key children
  • Weekly individual diaries for the parents of their key children (Online system)
  • Individual Learning Plans for your key children
  • Reports for the parents twice a year and a 2yearold assessment reports
  • Working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.
  • Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.
  • Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and working within these.
  • Delegating tasks to your team to ensure the smooth running of the room.
  • Sharing creative ideas and willingly involving your team in decision making for the classroom e.g., activities/planning

Knowledge and Skills required:


  • Level 4 and above qualification recognised by Ofsted
  • Minimum of 2 years' of experience as a room leader in a Montessori setting
  • Being a positive role model to your team.
  • An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements
  • Health & Safety and safeguarding practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Support your team and management in becoming an outstanding setting
  • Proficient ICT skills
