Working across the service, the post holder will take stock of the current commissioning arrangements and the status of public health-commissioned services, engaging with Public Health Consultants, Heads of Programme, and Policy Officers to develop and implementa commissioning plan for the division.

The post holder will work in partnership with service leads to review and develop service specifications, and be responsible for driving quality improvement in our commissioning processes.

This will include the writingand presentation of various reports as required under Council governance processes, supporting programme leaders in project managing procurements, service mobilisation, contract management and service evaluation.

The post holder will also have a key responsibilityin supporting the development of commissioning skills in the division, as programme leads assume responsibility for contract management once re-procured services are mobilised.
