National:
£29,500 - £33,500


London:
£33,000 - £37,000

About the role


The Expenditure team sits within Financial Operations and is responsible for processing and managing the organisations spend, which is made up of payments to suppliers, grant recipients, staff and volunteer expenses.


This role would be an ideal opportunity for somebody with managerial experience and experience in Finance or Services looking to further develop their career at Macmillan.


You will be somebody who is comfortable supporting colleagues at all levels of the business to ensure that our spend is processed accurately and efficiently.

This role will be to lead on the Purchase to Pay Purchase Order compliance project.

You will be line managing our Purchase to Pay Assistants who have a key role to play in supporting change projects whilst maintaining business as usual, and we're looking for somebody who can explain complex systems to non-Finance colleagues.

You will support colleagues to use the system and to ensure that invoices are approved promptly. Previous experience using Unit 4 Business World (Agresso) is desirable.


About you

  • You will have demonstrable experience and knowledge of Accounts Payable / Purchase to Pay
  • Significant experience of purchase ledger, reconciliation and payments processing in a complex organisation
  • Practical experience of using Excel at intermediate level and ability to manipulate data to carry out analysis and produce reports
  • Proactive in approach and ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Reconciliations and problemsolving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of supervising and managing junior staff
  • Experience of producing KPIs and insightful reports
