You will provide administrative support for operational aspects of the academy, record and maintain data on academy information systems and deal with queries from parents and students.

You will work towards completing your level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

Working week

Monday - Friday (Shifts TBC) 52 weeks per year (30 days annual leave)

Annual wage

£9,254.44

First year at £4.81 per hour followed by the National Minimum Wage after one year.


What will the apprentice be doing?


As an Apprentice Business Services Assistant, you will provide administrative support for operational aspects of the academy, record and maintain data on academy information systems and deal with queries from parents and students and provide support for the preparation of academy events.

You will also be responsible for providing hospitality to academy visitors and for various staff meetings within the academy and filing in line with appropriate retention periods and destruction of files as appropriate.


You will complete a Business Admin qualification at Level 3.

  • To act in a loyal and professional manner around the Academy and to contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims
  • To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
  • Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all
  • To attend and support appropriate meetings/courses and to undertake any training as deemed necessary, in order to keep abreast of development
  • Provide basic administrative support for all operational aspects of the academy, including HR Administration, financial administration and general administration
  • Recording and maintain data on various academy information systems
  • Complete requisitions for purchase orders and checking goods delivered
  • Dealing with queries from parents and students regarding payments made for various academy activities via Parent Pay, including cashless catering provision
  • Providing support for the preparation of academy events including parents evenings, school trips, selection days, and onsite meetings
  • Undertake visitor and student reception duties as required.
  • Providing hospitality to academy visitors and for various staff meetings within the academy
  • Providing a postal service, including collection and distribution of incoming mail, and franking and posting of outgoing mail.
  • Attending meetings to take notes and prepare minutes of meetings
  • Filing in line with appropriate retention periods and destruction of files as appropriate
  • Undertaking basic Health & Safety administration duties
  • To provide administrative support in relation to all educational visits, including the use of EVOLVE
  • Maintain the office photocopier, logging maintenance calls and ordering replacement toners
  • To adhere to GDPR and Data Protection Regulations, whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • To participate in wider Trust meetings and working groups as required

  • You will work towards completing a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • All work will be delivered remotely by LMP Education
  • The employer will give you time out of your working week to focus on your apprenticeship
