About the Role:


Planning Co-ordinator
Are you passionate about scheduling? Looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience or qualifications in planning work flow in a production environment?


As an inclusive, forward thinking business, we take pride in our approach to Planning across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Planning Co-ordinator to join our Production Team, based at our Telford site, Shropshire.


Purpose of the role:


As a Planning Co-ordinator, you will support our Production Planner in managing short-term production plans required for product assembly in a fast moving, high volume and frequently changing environment.


Your key responsibilities as a Production Planner will include:

  • Ensure production plans are prepared, updated and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Provide support on planning raw material movement between the Avara sites.
  • Assist production schedulers in answering calls and completing administrative tasks.
  • Deputise for Production Planner.
  • Provide holiday cover for different roles within the planning department, which may involve working shifts, weekends, and supporting other sites.
  • Frequently review stocks of finished goods and compare against upcoming orders.
  • Shortterm material management and utilisation including WIP management.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:00


What we are looking for:


  • High standard of IT skills and good excel knowledge.
  • A logical thinker with strong numerical, analytical and evaluation skills.
  • Adaptable, assertive, comfortable working under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong Communication skills
  • A good understanding of supply chain principles in a FMCG environment would be highly desirable.
