We are recruiting for a Tenant Liison Worker to join our Glasgow Key Fund programme.

Our Tenant Liaison Workers help to end homelessness in 2 ways:

Temporary Furnished Flats:

Through the provision of temporary furnished accommodation within the Private Rented Sector and providing a high-quality support programme for homeless households.


Rent Deposit:
Through facilitating access to accommodation within the Private Rented Sector and providing a high-quality support programme for (at risk of) homeless households


Main duties and responsibilties will include:

  • Develop positive, respectful and compassionate relationships with the people we support, focusing on their strengths and aspirations as individuals.
  • Have a high standard of professional integrity with colleagues and other professionals.
  • Establish clear professional boundaries with the people we support. Assessing, and progressing all referrals made to the service in line with service specification.
  • Effective engagement with landlords and letting agents in the management of properties, ensuring they are fit for purpose and comply with legal, health and safety and corporate standards.
  • Maintaining occupancy levels through efficient allocation and void management of properties.
  • Liaison with external agencies such as Community Homeless Teams, Housing Benefit and Council Tax teams, landlords, support providers, health programmes, local authority and other agencies as required.
  • Arranging and facilitating tenancy support with those we support to meet contractual requirements and individual need.

Skills/attributes required include:


  • Qualified to SVQ level 2/3 or SCQF equivalent or an appropriate Housing qualification, or willingness to undertake
  • Knowledge of Housing Law, Information and Advice Standards qualification, or Shelter Housing training or willingness to undertake
  • Full driving license and access to a car for work purposes
  • Experience of working in a similar role

Salary:
SCP £21,427-£23,194 per annum)


What you can expect from us
We value our staff as our greatest asset and will provide the following working conditions:

  • The post holder will report to a Senior Tenant Liaison Worker and through them to the Service Manager.
  • Your normal working hours are 35 per week, worked Monday to Friday.
  • Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours holiday (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second. This includes public holidays
  • You will be automatically enrolled into the People's Pension in the month that you will complete 3 months of employment, provided you meet the autoenrolment criteria
