About the Role


As Senior Lecturer in Criminal Justice/Applied Criminology, you will contribute to teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as through the development of modules relating to crime analysis and applied criminology.


The School of Law, Criminology and Policing benefits from excellent relationships with law enforcement agencies and you will be expected to contribute to the development and enhancement of relationships with practitioners and other external parties to support the student experience at Edge Hill.

The School is ideally located between several large cities with thriving criminal justice sectors, as well as being near to the new National Cyber Force centre in Samlesbury.


You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of the School and meet the requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework and beyond.


A PhD, or close to completed PhD (or equivalent demonstration of research capability) in criminal justice or a closely-related field, is highly desirable.

As part of the role, you will also be expected to explore Knowledge-Exchange activity, where appropriate.
