Description

We are seeking a passionate individual to join our North West network team in the role of Neonatal Care Coordinator with a focus on parent engagement.

Are you a senior professional with knowledge and insight into neonatal care? Do you have experience of working with service users and skills in the engagement of wide stakeholder groups?

If so please come and join like-minded people in the North West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (NWNODN) which covers a wide geographical area including Lancashire and South Cumbria, Greater Manchester and Cheshire and Merseyside.

In this role you will have the opportunity to really make a difference to the experience and outcomes of babies and families who have sick/premature infants as they journey through neonatal services and into the community.

This will centre on three main areas:

  • Engaging with parents and families, working closely with the NWNODN Parent Advisory Groups (PAGs) and neonatal teams to inform our work and support embedding Family Integrated Care (FICare) so that parents and families are at the heart of and fully involved in their baby's care, maximising outcomes and the quality of the family experience.
  • Leading initiatives to improve outcomes and reduce mother and baby separation working with neonatal, maternity services and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting the Lead Care Coordinator and NWNODN Team to support the achievement of the aims and key deliverables of the National Neonatal Critical Care Review (NCCR) 2019 and the NHS Long Term Plan neonatal commitments.

This is an exciting time for Neonatal services, and you will be an integral part of the Network team that will help to shape neonatal services for the future.

This vacancy will be based working from home but will require travel around the North West.

Please see the attached job description for full details of the role and person specification. Do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.
