£35,000 - £39,999 pa

Hours:
Full time 37.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday 08:30am - 16:30pm

What we look for in a Technical Author:

Demonstrate experience in Technical Writing (Medical / Consumer products)
2D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred training could be provided)
Competence in Graphics preparation (Illustrator & Publisher preferred)
First class communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong team working skills
Good planning and organisational skills
Ability to cope and work under pressure
Must be a highly selfmotivated individual

Technical Author beneficial (but not essential) skills and competencies include:

3D CAD skills (Solidworks preferred)
Experience using Solidworks Composer

Role and Responsibilities:

Prepare User Manuals, Technical Data Sheets for new products
Updating User Manuals and Technical Data Sheets for existing products
Create 2D CAD drawings for the above
Updating databases (such as the project plan)
Design product branding (labels, cartons etc.)
Prepare BOM's for new products
Assist in the production of new product marketing material
Assist in photographing new products

Additional duties may include (depending on skillset of applicant):

Creating engineering drawings from existing CAD models

Salary:
£35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
