Description
The key responsibilities of the Senior HR Administrator will be:

  • Support the Assistant to Head of HR to prepare variations to employment contracts (and update associated software) for all staff when working arrangements are changed, on achievement of recognised qualifications, completion of preceptorship or as directedby Director of HR.
  • Support the Assistant to the Head of HR to arrange and diarise meetings for the Director of HR.
  • Take minutes of meetings to assist the Director of HR ad hoc. Type up and review meeting summary notes (own or provided by the Director of HR), before distribution to appropriate attendees as required.
  • Under the direction of the Director of HR prepare for and follow up Stage One and Stage Two Capability and Disciplinary Hearings; update proforma documents, prepare agendas, chair's notes, attendance summaries. Create occupational health referrals, invitationsto hearings. Gather and send reports prepared by the Investigating Officer, arrange attendance, notes and send outcome letters etc.
  • Support the Clerk to Trustees and Governors when required in preparing any similar Stage Three Capability or Disciplinary paperwork.
  • Working with the Assistant to the Head of HR and closely with the Payroll Admin team, prepare outcome of annual performance related pay progression letters and statements of salary for coming year to present to the Director of HR and Executive Principal.
  • Support the Assistant to the Head of HR in completion of Occupational Health referrals.
  • Provide staff support through return to work meetings following sickness and work related injury absence.
  • Attend adult mental health first aid training as required and support staff mental health and wellbeing as part of the Adult Mental Health First Aid Champions, led by the Director of HR.
  • Support the Assistant to the Head of HR to monitor staff with restrictions on right to work at least halftermly, ensuring continuous compliance.
  • Under the Director of HR, ensure that the Single Central Record is kept up to date and periodically review its content.
  • Work with the Assistant to the Head of HR to ensure correct processing of staff leavers. Including preparation of acceptance of resignation letters to be approved by the Executive Principal, updating software and managing the safe return of resources (uniform,IT, keys etc.).
  • Ensure authorisation from the Director of HR and request for flowers to be ordered for staff through the finance team when needed, as policy.
