An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Paediatric Outpatient Team.

We are looking for a highly organised, motivated person with good IT and keyboard skills to work in the Children's Outpatient Reception Team and also support the secretarial team with editing/audio typing of clinical letters.


You will need to have the ability to exercise initiative, work effectively under pressure, maintain levels of confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.


  • Ensure case notes and electronic referrals are prepared and available for outpatient clinics.
  • Receive patients and relatives in reception and ensure checked into the Millennium system.
  • Answer telephone enquiries and action accordingly.
  • Make, rebook or cancel appointments as necessary.
  • Assist the clinical teams by editing/typing audio clinic letters.
  • Maintain systems and process to ensure patient information/data is complete and accurate.
