Job overview
Stowe CCF comprises the Army, Royal Airforce and Royal Navy sections (currently over 200 cadets, along with 20 staff members).
The contingent benefits from dedicated HQ/offices, firing range, armoury, magazine, well stocked stores for uniform, kit, equipment, and specific training aids (including RAF flight simulator, Laser Rifles) as well superb grounds at the school, used for training purposes.
The role is based on working 3 days a week, however there will be some additional requirements and expectations within the role, which will lead to an approximate additional 3 weeks across the year.
These will include X 3 field exercises per annum, 3 days adventure training, recces and briefing for Summer Camp, a week -long Summer Camp, Military Skills/Rifle Patrol Cup Competitions, qualification courses, Remembrance Sunday, a tri annual overseas expedition, and 2 evenings per annum to attend Bucks Uniformed Youth Meetings.
There is opportunity and potential for this role to be full-time, 5 days a week.This would incorporate additional responsibilities to either the academic or co-curricular life of the school and can be discussed in further detail at interview.

- Possess a bachelor's degree or higher
- Experience teaching Institute of Leadership and Management, Level 3 (City and Guilds)
- Qualified ECO
- SA (SR) Range Qualifications
- Skills and Arms Instructor Adventure Training
Specialist Skills & Experience
- Current or recent officer with HM Forces
- Knowledge of the cadet forces ethos and a strong desire to support, encourage and develop cadets.
- Flexibility to work extended irregular hours, including weekends and camps away from home
- Willingness to attain all necessary military qualifications and skills
- Experience of financial auditing
- Full UK driving license
- Experience as Platoon Commander /instructor at RMAS/ ATR, or single service equivalent
- Experience working with young people.
- Minor Unit Security Officer, Dangerous Goods Awareness, Minibus (D1 Licence)
- First Aid At Work.
- Previous experience using Westminster/Bader.
