This is an exciting opportunity to set up and run a credit control function in a busy law firm, with the aim of improving cash flow by accelerating timing of receipts.

The role is part time, three days a week with a starting salary of £27,000 pro-rata.


Duties include:

  • Liaising with Clients & Conveyancers to ensure that initial payments are received
after instruction and before any work is carried out.

  • Preparing interim bills and contacting Clients for payment of these bills.
  • Maintaining accurate records of contact with Clients and following up as
appropriate.

  • Ensuring that Search Fees (and other disbursements) are recovered from clients in
a timely manner.

  • Liaising with the Post Completions Supervisor to ensure that any Land Registry
refunds are requested.

This role would suit someone with prior credit control experience in a law firm. You must have excellent written and verbal skills for this role.

Working under the supervision of the Finance Manager you must be organised, have strong Excel skills and be able to provide detailed analysis of the company's debt profile.
