Description

You could be working for an internationally renowned company that is partnered with a group of pioneering businesses.

Your responsibility will be to manage the Linux servers and perform basic system administration, alongside writing scripts and constructingdatabase queries.

The Desktop Support (DTS) Team is one of 3 teams which make up the Computing department; the Helpdesk functionality is also operated within the scope of the team.

The successful applicant will be working closely with the other 5 Desktop Support team membersand potentially the other members of the Computing Department.

The successful applicant will be communicating with virtually every member of staff on-site.

Key skills required for this role;

Indepth knowledge of Windows 10
Knowledge of internal workings of PCs Experience of Microsoft Office
Practical experience of PC/Mac support issues Knowledge of Apple Macs Scripting/programming
Recent relevant experience of providing first and secondline computingEssential support in an IT department with a varied customerbase
Experience of diagnosing and solving technical problems on enduser Essential equipment
Experience of writing simple scripts/programs
