We are a well-established manufacturing business located in Woking who are now seeking a Production & Assembly Assistant to join our existing team.

This position is to start ASAP on a full time basis working Monday-Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm and Fridays 7am - 3pm.

We will pay up to £25K depending on experience with benefits including; onsite parking, employee assistance programme, 30 days holiday inc of BH as well as private medical, long service awards and additional holiday after 2 years.


Reporting into the Production Team Leader, the following activities and responsibilities form the important and critical aspects of the Job Description.

However, there will be additional responsibilities associated with the day-to-day business requirements which will be associated with this position

Production

Responsible for production related activities in the factory including:

  • Reading drawings to assemble our products, including but not limited to: Ground Support Equipment (GSE) such as trolleys, trailers, brake changers;
Access Equipment - steps (all sizes), docking and gantries.

  • Use of hand tools and power tools such as drills, grinders and sanders.
  • Use of machine shop equipment including mill, lathe, saws, tube bender and hydraulic tube bender.
  • Assembly of access structures, ground support equipment, and similar products.
  • Packing and protection of parts and products.
Repairs and Service

Responsible for all in-house engineering jobs, repairs and manufacturing contract repairs and projects.

  • Manufacture, assemble, Inspection service and repair work of our and other GSE suppliers ground support equipment and respiratory protection products.
  • Small batch and oneoff manufacturing.
  • Repair of GSE and Access products.
On-site

  • As and where the business needs require, you will attend onsite service visits which will be of similar nature to factory work. This is likely to include a local induction regarding onsite safety.


To be successful for the Production Assembler role, you will have worked within a similar role as a Production Technician, Production Assembler or Fitter role previously, have good PC skills and a clean driving license.

Ability to read drawings is essential and some goods in experience is desirable.
