Description
Metalis Engineering recruitment are currently supporting a leading Aerospace manufacturer who requires a TIG welder to join their team.


You'll be manufacturing products for prestige clients such as Rolls Royce, Boeing, Air Bus, GK Aerospace, Safran to name a few.


ROLE OUTLINED:

You will be responsible for TIG welding of rigid and flexible tube assemblies, brackets and components.

As a TIG Welder you will be complying with AS9100 and NADCAP approved manufacturing. The role could also include fabrication or finishing operations.


Salary:
£ £17.00 per hour (Subject to experience)


Hours of work are Day's Regular:07.30am - 4.30pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7am pm (Friday's)

From time-time, some workers do work on an Afternoon shift pattern:3pm - 1.00am (Monday - Thursday)


DAY-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • TIG Welding tube assemblies for the aero sector
  • Brazing and fabricating pipes
  • Trimming and setting pipes
  • Working to tight tolerances and specification from engineering drawings
  • The use of measurement equipment such as shadowgraph, Vernier, micrometers for inspection and fabrication purposes.
  • Worked with a variety of materials such as stainless steel, titanium, aluminium and Inconel
  • Ability to use TIG welding equipment
  • Welding qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of working within a similar position (aerospace sector)
  • Experience working with a variety of materials
