Description

  • Analyse sales trends and identify the key drivers of sales, using this understanding and working closely with the sales team, to build the base sales volume forecast.
  • Inputting of this base forecast into the software forecasting system
  • Produce and issue the regular "Sales and Brand" full P&L forecast files to the business, providing analysis on the data contained within
  • Develop and own the sales forecasting and reporting processes
  • Develop and prepare statistical forecasts for use in the sales forecasting process including developing appropriate measures of forecast accuracy and bias, and reporting accordingly
  • Business partner with the Commercial teams (sales and marketing) to improve understanding of their brand and customer level P&Ls from Volume to Gross Margin and Net Profit, challenge performance and make recommendations to improve sales and margin
  • Analyse and review Trade Promotions, to understand the performance of historic and future activities to ensure effective use of company resources.
  • With the commercial teams manage internal and external pricing, creating pricing files and maintaining price lists.
  • Work with other teams to ensure robust forecasting and stock cover of all new products.
  • Support the finance and commercial teams with month end reporting
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required

Profile

  • Effective communication skills, and the ability to work well with others at all levels across functions
  • A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn
  • A handson team player, necessary in a small company environment.
  • Industry knowledge and experience in a similar or complimentary role (such as Finance or Supply Chain)
  • Proficiency with statistical and forecasting fundamentals
  • Understanding of financial and operational impacts of forecasting and related decisions
  • Advanced proficiency with software systems including ERP systems
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Good time management skills
