**Fixed Term
- to cover maternity leave until 9th July 2024**
22.5 hours a week
G7 SCP £29,439 - £33,820 (pro rata to hours worked)
The Early Help Service is recruiting a Volunteer Co-ordinator to work alongside the current part time Volunteer Co-ordinator to develop, oversee, train and support a team of Early Help Volunteers.
Since 2020 the Early Help Service has been offering a number of Volunteer opportunities across the service and we currently have a small team of Volunteers already supporting Children, Young People and Families on an Early Help Support Plan.
We are now in an exciting position where we are able to invite an additional Volunteer Co-ordinator to join us to support the large scale recruitment, development and growth of the Early Help Volunteer Team.
The next phase of development will focus on a Volunteer recruitment campaign to recruit Volunteers to support families with:- Young children and/or a new baby
- Children with a Special Educational Need or Disability (SEND)
- Fatherhood
- Making healthy lifestyle choices regarding food and exercise
- Deliver their own support groups for parents in their own communities and neighbourhoods
- Deliver the Barnardos Cygnet group for parents of children 5yrs+ with ASD
- Excellent knowledge, skills and experience in the delivery of support to Volunteers
- Excellent communication skills, IT skills, and record keeping skills
- Ability to provide leadership oversight and able to encourage participation from a diverse range of volunteers.
- Experience of overseeing, supervising, mentoring and supporting diverse groups of volunteers who will work with families with complex needs.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding, and experience of managing risk
- Ability to engage with children, young people and families who may be vulnerable, or who may have complex needs.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary
- Experiences of recruiting staff or volunteers into a service focused on delivering positive outcomes for children, young people and families
